    Janet,
I LOVE this recipe because its not overly "salty". Thats the reason I dont like most store packaged nuts, I feel like I could drink a river by the time Im done. I dont feel that way with these(though I typically make them quite spicey lol)

Come on over Viv, though you may wanna bring some lysol and a mask and hide out in another room. Though, I think we're all finally starting to get better! I'll make the nuts, you bring the movie! ;)

Almonds and walnuts are especially good for us. I love you snack choice. What movie are we watching. May I sit in the recliner? :)

Makes me want to download a movie, thanks Angela!

I like that your recipe uses unsalted nuts so we can adjust how salty the snack will be - so often the salt in prepared snacks is excessive!

I make this everytime my kids decide to plan a "movie night" at home. Since I dont eat popcorn, this is a great snack item for me!

    Sweet 'N Spicey Nuts

    1/4 C unsalted peanuts
    1/4 C unsalted walnuts - chopped
    1/4 C sliced almonds
    1/4 C pecans - chopped

1/2 C brown sugar twin(can use regular brown sugar)
    1 - 2 tablespoons water
    3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
    Pinch of cayenne pepper
    1 Tablespoon chili oil

In skillet, cook nuts, sugar twin, salt, cayenne, & chili oil on medium to high until sugar twin melts and coats nuts, about 5 minutes, stirring from time to time. Coll on a sheet of waxed paper. Can also add about 1/2 Cup of unsweetened Coconut. Makes 1 cup.
