MY PORK WAS ON SALE I PAID $3.20 FOR IT. IT WEIGHED 2.45 LB. (SO WAS ALMOST 2 1/2 lbs); NOTE FROM THE BUTCHER SAID IT COULD BE CUT INTO THICK PORK-CHOPS IF YOU WANTED TO SERVE IT THAT WAY. I JUST ADDED SOME CELERY CUTS TO THE BROTH TO LET IT BOIL A BIT....AND 1 CUP OF LEFTOVER CHILI. LIFTED OUT WHAT WAS LEFT OF THE PORK, CARROTS AND POTATOES AND CUT INTO BITE SIZED PIECES, WHILE THE CELERY WAS BOILING. What is the 28 ounces beef boullion? Can I used canned beef broth for that? Sorry so many questions. -- Go Colts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Cin! I am sorry too! There is always next year! So it sounds like you used a pork loin roast-yum. I can't wait to try your recipe-I will probably make a biggger roast (3-4 pounds). I haven't decided on pork or beef -whichever is on sale-lol! I bet the leftovers would make great sandwiches. NO BONE.....WAS FROM WHERE THE PORK CHOPS ARE CUT WOULD BE GREAT WITH A BEEF ROAST....THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING IT ON NEXT TIME. I DON'T FIX PORK VERY OFTEN, JUST WANTED TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I will have to try this .....sounds great. Did you use a shoulder or loin roast and was it bone-in or boneless? Do you think this recipe would also be good with a beef roast? -- Go Colts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cin's SUNDAY PORK-POT-ROAST TODAY AFTER CHURCH I DECIDED I WANTED A PORK ROAST....WENT BY THE GROCERY STORE ON THE WAY HOME AND PICKED ONE UP...AND THIS IS HOW I FIXED IT. MARINATED A 2 POUND PORK ROAST FOR AN HOUR IN A ZIP-LOCK BAG WITH: 1 C ROOT BEER 1/4 C APPLE CIDER VINEGAR 1 t SWEET BASIL 1 t GARLIC SALT 1 t PARSLEY 1 T PEPPER TURNING BAG OVER EVERY 15 MINUTES DRAINED OFF MARINADE AND ADDED FLOUR INTO THE BAG, ZIP CLOSED AND SHAKE TO COAT ROAST. BROWN ROAST IN EVOO AND BUTTER, THEN TRANSFERRED FROM SKILLET TO A DEEP ROASTING PAN. OF WHICH I HAD ALREADY ADDED: 28 oz BEEF BULLION 2 T WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE 1 t PICKAPEPPA SAUCE 2 C BOILING WATER 2 t KNORR'S CALDO de TOMATE BOUILLION DISSOLVED THE BOILING WATER 1 med ONION QUARTERED S & P (TO TASTE) BRING TO A BOIL THEN TURNED HEAT DOWN TO A MEDIUM-LOW SIMMER FOR 2 hours (TURNING ROAST OVER AFTER 1 hour). PEEL CARROTS `N POTATOES AND ADD INTO POT WITH ROAST. CONTINUED TO COOK UNTIL VEGGIES WERE DONE. SERVED WITH YEAST ROLLS. BTW....I PEELED A ONE POUND PKG OF CARROTS (we love carrots) AND ABOUT 6 OR 7 YUKON GOLD POTATOES.
