... ham pineapple and jalapeno - are you pregnant again? Just kidding! I love jalapenos but have never mixed them with pineapple - maybe this is something I need to try? Breakfast "pizzas" are particularly good made with English muffins. But regular pizza dough cooks up nicely and is a great base for breakfast foods and cream gravy. Yummy. I never thought I would like gourmet type pizzas but I found I love seafood pizzas with garlic cream sauce, artichoke and sun-dried tomato with feta cheese and fresh basil leaves, even baked potato pizza with bacon, cheddar cheese, and chives. -- Lisa

I used to go to a pizzeria in NY (Queens) where they served breadcrumb pizza. It was really thick Sicilian slices with these great mounds of fine breadcrumbs baked into the top. It looked almost like a giant crumbcake. That's the only place I've ever seen a breadcrumb pizza. They had other kinds like spinach pizzas, too. I like experimental pizzerias -- Worries go down better with soup. ~Jewish Proverb

My sister was telling me about a pizza she had with an unusual-but-delicious choice of toppings (a special put together by the restaurant; not her own picks). It had chicken, thinly sliced fresh pears, buttery roasted garlic, roasted asparagus, and cashews! I know, it sounds odd, but she says it was a lovely combination of flavours. I still stick with fairly ordinary toppings - ideally including fresh basil and goat's milk cheese if I'm going to be a little "fancy." Does anyone NOT enjoy pizza these days? • Janet

I haven't had breakfast pizza , but I want to. George Duran made a breakfast pizza on Food Network. He started with a Boboli crust or something like it ,and he had eggs, cheese and spinach on there, I was drooling it looked so good! -- Jennifer "Every Saint Has A Past, Every Sinner Has A Future"

I love Bagel Bites too if I cook them in the oven. The package says you can microwave them, but I found they get tough and over-chewy if I do. The big bagels made into pizzas are just perfect - a little bit of chewiness as a bagel should be but not tough. The kids love them because they can top them however they like - they like to make faces out of pepperonis and olives and sometimes green pepper slices (they make great eyebrows and smiles LOL) -- Lisa

David, I'm so glad you liked the Mama Mary's! I just bought a pack of 3 small ones again (I can't stop!) and it came with a lovely packet of sauce. I just had straight cheese and sauce with a bit of olive oil and it was delicious. I still have one crust left. I gotta try the whole wheat one. Lisa, bagel pizzas sound great. I usually have everything bagels with tons of cream cheese (I'm so naughty with the cheese!) and I have had those little frozen bagel bites but taking a beautiful fresh baked bagel and turning it into a pizza has GOT to taste amazing. And they're so perfect and small enough for one person's serving. -- Worries go down better with soup. ~Jewish Proverb

Penny.. I don't dare introduce fried dough in my house.. It sounds too good!! We like making the dough from scratch.. I use the good old recipe in my Betty Crocker Cookbook.. nice and simple and it rolls out really nice. Trick is.. dough needs to be at room temperature to roll nicely. On top.. lets see..My oldest son and I love sauce, cheese, mushrooms, black olives, and a light amount of onions.. sometimes some green peppers diced. Don't want that to be overwhelming. My daughter likes plain cheese/sauce. My youngest son likes cheese/sauce and pepperoni My husband likes .. a garlic sauce and cheese..nothing else.. Unless we go to the local pizza place.. he gets their Hawaiian pizza.. it has garlic sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, ham and pineapple. Which is weird..because he does not usually like ricotta cheese or ham.. go figure.

Has anyone tried fried dough pizza? It's delicious. Buy a 1lb pizza dough and pull off about a third of it. Stretch it out and fry in medium heat oil. When it has puffed up and is golden brown put on paper towels to absorb oil. Top with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese. You can also top it with sugar and fruit for a desert. I prefer the tomato sauce. They often make this at fairs and carnivals......Penny -- chopsticks are the reason the Japanese did not invent custard
