This was way better than I expected, so flavorful for something so simple. I did double the recipe and there still isn't that much left over. One thing I would like to add is that the sauce seems very thin when added to the noodles. Don't worry- An important tip is to let the noodles stand with the sauce for about 10 minutes, and keep tossing the mixture every few minutes. When left to stand , it thickens into a deliciously creamy and tasty sauce. This one is a winner! I think the grated Parmesan is what helps to bind the sauce and coats everything beautifully. -- Jennifer When baking, follow directions. I'm making this tonight-I'll probably double it. 8 ounces uncooked spaghetti 1-1/2 cups frozen broccoil cuts 1/2 cup juilenned sweet red, yellow and/or green pepper 1/4 cup coarsely chopped onion 1/2 lb smoked sausage , cut into 1/2 inch slices 1/4 cup water 3/4 cup evaporated milk 2 tablespoons butter 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese In a Dutch oven, cook spaghetti according to package directions, adding vegetables the last 4-5 minutes. Meanwhile , in a large skillet, bring sausage and water to a boil . Reduce heat ;cover and simmer for 7-8 minutes or until heated through. Add evaporated milk, butter and Italian seasoning ;cook and stir until butter is melted.Drain spagetti and vegetables;return to the Dutch oven. Add Parmesan cheese and sausage mixture; toss to coat. 4 servings -- Jennifer When baking, follow directions. When cooking, go by your own taste.- Laiko Bahrs
