Took out my Rotato to check and make sure my blades were all intact..this is the time of year it gets a work out.. I'm happy to say it's still all in one piece and ready to go for mashed potatoes next week and then latkas in 2 weeks!!! My husband also bought me a snugie. Funny how everyone LAUGHED at me.. but I never get to use it.. everyone else takes it from me! As for the brownie pan my son wants that so bad.. let's see what Hannukah will bring for him this year! -- Edited by 2868110 at Nov 18, 2009 9:00 PM EST

Jennifer, Target, some walgreens and most Bed Bath and Beyond have them with no S@H. I am buying one for the holidays for my sweets baskets for friends. My friend said they keep longer because the edges cook and they don't dry out as fast.

A friend bought it and loves it. She said that you need to heat the pan with the oven to prevent the brownies from leaking out . She is a big tv fan and tries a lot of the things on tv. This she give thumbs up! The chopper she gave thumbs down too.

Is the brownie pan you're talking about the one that's shaped like an "S" and makes brownies with all edges? I love that idea. I get all edges when I make brownies in my muffin tins. Little round edgy bits of chewy goodness. Yum. I have a pampered chef egg slicer I picked up at Goodwill (LOVE finding bargains at Goodwill!) I use it a lot. For egg salad, I make one slice then turn the egg around and slice again, sometimes if it holds together I'll turn the egg sideways and slice again to get little tiny cubes. I've never used it for strawberries - hmmm... never occurred to me before now. My favorite kitchen gadget is the tupperware orange peeler thingy. It's shaped kind of like a crochet hook and you just put the hook part into the peel near the top of the orange and pull it around and down to the other side in several places, then peel off the sections of rind. It's awesome and keeps me from getting the pith all in my nails. I have to admit I've been intrigued by the Flavorwave oven - the one that advertises it will take food from frozen to perfectly cooked and delicious in less than half an hour (the commercial features Mr. T). It looks small though so I'd probably need several of them and I envision my already-sparse counter space rapidly disappearing. I already need a new shelf for my blender, rice cooker, waffle iron, crockpot, bread machine, egg cooker, and various other electrical kitchen gadgets. If I had a KitchenAid mixer though, it would have a place of honor right on the counter - no stowing that beautiful baby in a cupboard. -- Lisa

I saw that brownie pan thing the other night, but resisted the urge to dial the number to order. Just about any housewares or kitchen store can inspire me to find something I must have, but so far I've avoided the temptations of late night TV. Maybe it's not being able to actually handle the thing, to assess sturdiness and so on? Much as I like online and mail-order shopping, it's usually from retailers I know, and those late-night offerings do tend to be from mystery companies. But still, if Jennifer goes for that brownie pan, I want to hear all about it! • Janet
