    >>> Drizzle with sherry. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 5 to 8 minutes, until potatoes are heated through and lightly browned on top. Spoon mixture over potatoes to serve<<<

If you pour the sugar mixture over the potatoes ''before broiling'' then what does she mean for you to spoon over potatoes at the end???
Are you suppose to only broil the sugar mixture on\over part of the potatoes then ''spoon it over the rest of them''??????

    Cin,
I think what is ment is that when you put them in the serving bowl to make sure you pour the extra glaze, from the pan, over them

    Hello Michelle:
Well, I promised I would find that lost sweet potato recipe, and I did! It's still missing from my electronic files, but I found the original index card with the recipe written on it. I suggest doubling or tripling this recipe when you make it -- it tends to disappear quickly!

    Sherry-Glazed Sweets
-2 cups cooked, sliced sweet potatoes or yams (or 1-18 oz. can, drained)
-1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    -2 tablespoons butter
    -2 tablespoons dry sherry
Preheat broiler. Place potatoes in small pan, with sides, for broiling. In a small saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Heat, stirring ocassionally, until butter is melted. Pour sugar mixture over potatoes. Drizzle with sherry. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 5 to 8 minutes, until potatoes are heated through and lightly browned on top. Spoon mixture over potatoes to serve. (Makes 3 to 4 servings) << <<

My question is......does anyone know what she means at the very end of the recipe????????
