At least you learned from your mistakes.... I know I tried 6 or 7 times.... almost got used to eating the wallpaper paste - I thought everything was better stirred - LOL. -- ....... eat mo' grits

I've found this out the hard way too: chicken 'n' dumplings + stirring = glue and bricks with bits of chicken in them. Glad you found the answer to the mystery but sorry your meal wasn't so tasty. -- Lisa

Angela, It happens to me if the broth is boiling to hard or I lift the lid before they had a chance to rise and set.

I tried making Chicken and Dumplings last night and I don't know WHAT went wrong, but they turned out in a gloopy, globby mess. ANY ideas what went wrong? I made it the same as I always do, nothing changed in the recipe. They were awwwwful! lol -- ~*~Angela~*~
