    At least you learned from your mistakes....

    I know I tried 6 or 7 times.... almost got used to eating the wallpaper paste - I thought everything was better stirred - LOL.

    LOL. it wasn't funny at the time, but I can laugh about it now. I sure wasn't expecting to eat chicken flavored wallpaper paste! LOL

    I've found this out the hard way too: chicken 'n' dumplings + stirring = glue and bricks with bits of chicken in them. Glad you found the answer to the mystery but sorry your meal wasn't so tasty.

    It happens to me if the broth is boiling to hard or I lift the lid before they had a chance to rise and set.

    I tried making Chicken and Dumplings last night and I don't know WHAT went wrong, but they turned out in a gloopy, globby mess. ANY ideas what went wrong? I made it the same as I always do, nothing changed in the recipe. They were awwwwful! lol
