I love this idea and recently used it.
On the backside we created a newsletter.
We mentioned the status of all programs with their respective websites.
I got back more of these envelopes than I ever got back the 1 point and 5 point collection sheets.
I plan on using this again in the future.
I hope that the Labels folks will add this download next to the 1 point and 5 point collection sheets.

I think your envelope idea is really cool! I think I will borrow your idea, and tweek it for our school's use, and use it for the summer collection sheet. What a neat idea :)

Thank you Susan - for the details of how you run your collection. I too made baggie labels and had started to put them on baggies that I had received from students. However, I had not thought it out as well as you all did. I am going to use my envelope idea for the rest of this year, because I am also using it to show everyone what Campbell's accepts. I still get the front labels of cans and sometimes very painstakingly clipped logos that have only the Campbell's kid on them:-p
I will use your idea next year. Instead of buying the baggies, I am going to keep adding to my collection and label them over the summer!

Good idea. This is what we do at our school. Our coordinator for Box Tops bought sandwich-sized baggies at Costco, and then with address labels printed out the logos for Box Tops, Campbells, and Tyson in the background. Then on top of the labels she has two lines. One for the child's name and another for the teacher's name. At the beginning of the year we had a cute little poem attached that said to put any of those items in there, and that they would get the baggie back when we are done with it. So if I get the baggie first, I see if there are any box tops in it. If there are I (obviously) take the Campbells UPC's out first and then put the baggie with the Box Tops in her mailbox at school. Then when she is done with it, she puts the empty baggie in the teacher's mailbox. The teacher then takes it and gives it back to the child in kid mail. It has cut down on getting tons of baggies and envelopes. Although we still get a bit of those, just not as much.

Make your own envelope for campbell's.pdf
Make your own envelope for... (370.7 K)
I am about to start a LFE collection contest and I am so tired of trying to re-use all the plastic baggies that I get from students. So, I decided to make a collection envelope that each student can take home to use, return when full and I can recycle it. I will have to tear off the tape or staples - no big deal for me. It won't hold many plastic caps but, they will be turned in sooner. I also plan to use the reverse side for printing contest details, etc..
I have included a pdf version for anyone else that may want to use it. I received permission from Campbell's to use their various logos.
Let me know what you think.

    Thanks,
    Judi
