I dont think I've ever SEEN Strawberry vinegar in our stores! Im going to have to look closer when I head out this weekend.

I'm on the lookout for strawberry recipes, as our local ones are starting to appear in the stores and at the farmer's market. Any thoughts on the olive oil to use in this? Somehow I think that a lighter one might be the way to go, rather than a highly flavoured extra virgin oil? • Janet

Hi there, everyone. I was researching some summer type salads today and found this recipe. I thought I would share this with y'all. Enjoy!!! ~Shan http://www.tassleberry.com/spinach-salad-recipe.php Strawberry Spinach Salad Using Strawberry Vinegar Strawberry Spinach Salad Recipe 1 teaspoon table salt 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup Strawberry Vinegar 1 teaspoon dry mustard 3/4 cup olive oil 1 pound fresh baby spinach, washed 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced In a medium bowl, blend together, salt, sugar, mustard and Strawberry Vinegar. Pour 3 tablespoons of the olive oil into mix and whisk until blended. Whisk in remaining oil. Add spinach and strawberries; gently toss well to coat. |
